Two Brothers Sketch

It appears that I've completely neglected this blog! Oops. Anyways, here's some sketches and what-have-you of two brothers. Don't really have names 100% but I'm thinking the older being either, Aavid, Trevor, or David, the younger maybe Jesse. Don't know, just thought they looked neat after I finished the doodle.

Delta State - Martin

Delta State was a show that intrigued me when I was going through jr. high and so-on. Though only ever having "peasant vision" (13 tv channels) growing up (the tragedy of living in a small village), I only ever saw a few spare episodes. Until it was posted many years later on youtube that is! (Thank you, youtubers) :D I've always wanted to give it a try and reboot the characters and possibly villains (if I muster up enough courage that is!).

My inspiration is the video game "Infamous" (Second Son is awesome), the cartoon Ben 10: Omniverse series, and Batman The Brave and the Bold.

The Back Story via Wiki-attack: "Delta State is a Canadian animated television series, based on a comic book by Douglas Gayeton (which was never released), featuring four amnesiac roommates with the ability to subconsciously enter an ethereal realm known as the Delta State. They face the dual tasks of piecing together their past lives and battling a group of Delta State denizens called Rifters, who seek to control the human mind. The main characters are Claire, Martin, Luna, and Philip.

The series debuted September 11, 2004 on Teletoon, the Canadian cartoon television network. It is the first animated television series to be entirely rotoscoped, taking over 27 months to complete.

Delta State is a French / Canadian co-production with designs, story-boards etc. done by Alphanim in Paris; shooting and recording were performed by Nelvana Canada. The project was conceived by Douglas Gayeton, who also directed the original pilot and wrote the bible for the show.

The show has won the Special Award for a TV program at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival and the Frames 2004 for best Asian Production."

Godzilla Reboot - Nik Finalized, For Sure This Time

While I liked the flash style (and younger) look for the characters for my Little Zilla Reboot, I felt that it'd be more fun to design the main character a little older. Someone who likes to "Parkour" around, landing himself in trouble more than not.

On a side note, can't wait to see the new Godzilla movie.

Another Year Come and Gone

It's the beginning of a new year and 2013 is nothing more than a memory. What better way than to start the new year than to reminisce and see where one has come from?

Two sketches are of Legend of Mana. An old Playstation game by Square-Enix (Squaresoft at the time). Love the game, and wanted to do a redesign.

The last picture is a clipboard of images from when I started school in 2005 at VanArts. (ah, memories)

-Laterz and enjoy!

Star Wars: Sith Force Unleashed Fan Edition

Just having fun with the doodle I did the other day. It's been a long two days, but it was worth it I think. I like the design of Starkiller and I'm liking Ventress' daughter's colours. I have her sith apprentice outfit and her slave outfit from when Starkiller found her. I don't know, I just feel you have to have some sort of story idea when you draw out characters.

Having Fun With the Dark Side

Having a little more fun doodling out Starkiller from Star Wars The Force Unleashed. Drawn in Genndy Tartakovsky style of the Clone Wars mini series.

Who's the Girl, you ask? What if Starkiller were to have an apprentice of his own to train in the dark side? What if that apprentice was none other than Ventress's own daughter? What havoc would those two wreak? Anyways, enough talk, lets draw!

Star Wars Skribble

Starkiller from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
Loved the game, and just finished reading the novel.
Show them the power of the dark side Starkiller, you've got some wicked moves.
